UH-OH! AT THE MOMENT, THERE ARE NO TOURS AVAILABLE FOR 9/11 MEMORIAL & MUSEUM
High demand, seasonal availability and unexpected closures can be the reason. We're working on getting it up and running. Meanwhile, you can search for other activities on our website. We don’t want you to leave disappointed!
The 11 September 2001 marks an unfortunate day in the history of the US when two planes crashed into the World Trade Center, Pentagon and into a field in Pennsylvania, which was originally directed towards the White House. The 9/11 memorial was commemorated as a physical reminder of that day.
Seeing the space where the World Trade Center complex once was is a heartbreaking and unforgettable experience. Hear first-hand accounts, see items from the wreckage, and explore the collection of over 10,000 artifacts from Ground Zero, including a section of the antenna from the roof of the North Tower and the remains of a fire truck. You can also spot the ‘Survivor Tree’ which also suffered damages but was nursed back to health.
To avoid the worst crowds, the best time to visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum is between 10 am to 12 am.
9/11 Memorial and Museum is open from 10 pm to 5 pm every day. The last entry is at 4 pm.
9/11 Memorial and Museum is located at 180 Greenwich Street, New York. You can get there via public transport easily. If you are coming by subway, take the 2 or 3 trains to Park Place, the E train to World Trade Center or A, C, 1, 2 or 3 to Chambers Street. If you are coming by bus, you can take M55 Southbound and alight at Broadway or take M22 Southbound and alight on Vesey Street to walk to the memorial.
Yes, you can avail of free tickets available every Tuesday after 5 pm. But make sure to come early as they are distributed on a first-come-first-served basis.
